Born in Singapore to Australian parents, Tim David spent most of his formative years in Perth after moving back to Australia at the age of two. Growing up, David was no stranger to cricket. His father, Rod, represented Singapore in the 1997 ICC Trophy.
Like his father, Tim David's international career started with Singapore too when he represented them in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers. However, fast forward to 2022 and David had switched allegiances to Australia and he made his Australia debut in a T20I against India in 2022.
Making a name for himself as a hard-hitting middle-order batter who could also bowl both useful seam-up and off-spin, David quickly found himself in demand for T20 Leagues around the globe. His first assignment came for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League 2018/19 and he went on to play in the PSL, the CPL, The Hundred, the IPL, the SA20 and most recently, Major League Cricket.
